Short Comparison Between iPhone 12 And iPhone 11

Like all previous years, the top-rated phone comes from Apple: iPhone 12. Here, you may be thinking about upgrading from your iPhone 11 to an iPhone 12, but you may also wonder about the difference between both phones. If you do not have an iPhone, and you are thinking about having one, you may wonder if it is the right decision to spend $799 on an iPhone 12 or purchase an iPhone 11 for $599.

In this article, we will look at the difference between the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 12.

The iPhone 12

The iPhone 12 is the top-rated phone for a reason. The most distinguishing feature of this phone is its A14 bionic processor, which is by far the fastest mobile processor by Apple. The availability of dual rear cameras and 5G compatibility makes the iPhone 12 a future proof phone that you can get.

The iPhone 11

The iPhone 11 is the last year’s champion from the perspective of performance and features. So, it is still one of the best choices that you can make, even in the presence of the iPhone 12 in the market. The A13 Bionic processor and an incredible camera setup on the backside make the iPhone 11 still make it an even better handset compared to most modern handsets in the market. The reason you may want to choose an iPhone 11 over iPhone 12 is its price, which $200 lesser than that of the base standard iPhone 12.

Design and screen size

Apple has added four models in its iPhone 12 lineup, all with varying screen sizes. The iPhone 12 Mini comes with a 5.4-inch screen, iPhone 12 and 12 Pro with a 6.1-inch screen, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max with a 6.7-inch screen. The iPhone 11 lineup had three models. The standard iPhone 11 has a 6.1-inch screen, the iPhone 11 Pro has a 5.8-inch screen, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 6.5-inch screen. The screen size of both iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 base models is the same. However, the iPhone 11 is one ounce heavier than the iPhone 12.

Despite some key differences, both phones have some similarities. For instance, both phones are IP68 rated for water-resistance, both have no headphone jacks, and both have wireless charging capabilities. The iPhone 12 base model has an OLED screen, whereas the iPhone 11 has an LCD screen. With a flat backing along with edges on its sides, the iPhone 12 has no raised buttons.

Both these phones also differ from the perspective of color options. The iPhone 12 comes in five color options, while the iPhone 12 comes in six.

Screen refresh rate

Although it was rumored that Apple would up its screen refresh rate game in the new iPhone 12 lineup, it was nothing more than just a rumor. Both the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 come with a 60Hz screen refresh rate.

Cameras

Apple has upgraded its cameras even further in the iPhone 12 lineup. The Pro models are special in this regard. The ultra-wide and selfie cameras can now operate in Night Mode. The improved HDR mode shoots even better pictures and videos.
